Tres Limoges Boxes for Cinco de Mayo

Happy Cinco De Mayo, the 5th of May.   This holiday is recognized in the United States as a day to celebrate Mexican culture and pride.  Not to be confused with Mexico's Independence Day which takes place on September 16, Cinco de Mayo has its roots in the state of Puebla where in 1862, the Mexican army was victorious over French forces.

As with any Mexican fiests, music is an integral part of this day.  Trumpets, maracas, castanets, and guitars are all key instruments you may hear.  This Limoges box guitar is just the piece to honor this element of Cinco de Mayo.  Acoustic guitar is a beautiful accompaniment to the expressive vocals and lively compositions.

Margaritas are often the beverage of choice for these celebrations.  Coming in many fruity flavors, or delicously classic lime, margaritas go down easy with all the great Mexican dishes like tacos, nachos, and fajitas.   This frothy margarita Limoges box has an appealing Kiwi slice on the rim and a spoon clasp, making you all the more eager to get a party started and have it last all night.

Red Chili Peppers are a familiar symbol on this day, letting everyone know that this a time for spiced up parties.  Often used as decoration, or as an ingredient in delicous meals, these bright red veggies will definitely kick things up a notch.  Red pepper Limoges boxes are colorfully hand painted and beautifully crafted.

You can bring enjoy Cinco de Mayo today with friends and family, but also keep the spirit alive each day of the year in your home with these Limoges box collectibles.
